Stellerworks works across engineering, product development, additive manufacturing, and systems-focused design — supporting both physical products and the workflows that surround them.

Our approach combines practical engineering, rapid iteration, computational thinking, and modern manufacturing methods to help develop adaptable products, prototypes, and operational systems.

Product Design & Development

We support the development of products from early concepts through to functional prototypes and production-ready digital assets.

This includes:

  • concept development
  • CAD modelling
  • design refinement
  • design for additive manufacturing (DfAM)
  • iterative prototyping
  • product visualisation
  • manufacturing-ready geometry

Our workflows are built around rapid iteration, allowing ideas to evolve quickly through testing, feedback, and refinement.

Reverse Engineering & Digital Reconstruction

We work with existing physical components to create accurate digital models for redesign, manufacturing, modification, or archival purposes.

This includes:

  • 3D scan processing
  • reverse engineering
  • mesh-to-CAD workflows
  • STEP and manufacturing file generation
  • geometry clean-up and optimisation
  • redesign for additive manufacturing

These workflows are particularly useful for legacy parts, low-volume manufacturing, prototype development, and custom systems.

Additive Manufacturing & Prototyping

We use additive manufacturing as both a prototyping and production tool — enabling low-volume, on-demand, and rapidly iterated physical products.

Capabilities currently include:

  • functional FDM prototyping
  • rapid concept validation
  • production support parts
  • custom enclosures and fixtures
  • branded engineering models
  • small-batch product production

Rather than treating 3D printing as a standalone service, we view it as part of a wider product development and manufacturing workflow.

Interactive Physical Experiences

Stellerworks also explores the intersection between physical products and digital interaction.

This includes:

  • NFC-enabled products
  • interactive engineering models
  • connected marketing objects
  • exhibition and display pieces
  • physical-to-digital product experiences

These systems are designed to bridge physical interaction with digital information, storytelling, and engagement.

Workflow & Systems Development

Alongside physical product work, we are interested in how modern engineering workflows, operational systems, and computational tools can improve the way products and businesses are developed.

Areas of exploration include:

  • workflow optimisation
  • manufacturing systems thinking
  • operational process development
  • computational and parametric workflows
  • AI-assisted engineering systems
  • rapid iteration frameworks

Many of these capabilities are currently integrated internally within Stellerworks and continue to evolve alongside the studio itself.

We are particularly interested in projects that combine engineering, manufacturing, design, and experimentation — especially where modern tools and unconventional workflows can unlock new possibilities.
